Registration Open for HealthSouth Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital’s 37th Annual Neurorehabilitation Conference


BRAINTREE, Mass. – HealthSouth Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital will host its 37th Annual Neurorehabilitation Conference on Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke and Other Neurologic Disorders on Nov. 12 and 13 at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge. The conference, which offers continuing education for physicians, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, social workers, case managers as well as other clinicians, will feature 22 speakers from all over the country that will speak to a variety of neurorehabilitation topics including “Football and the Brain,” “Exercise Considerations for Individuals Post Spinal Cord Injury” and “Walking and Disability in Parkinson’s Disease.”

The opening keynote speaker is Alvaro Pascual-Leone, MD, PhD, a professor of neurology and an associate dean for clinical and translational research at Harvard Medical School. In addition, he serves as chief for the division of cognitive neurology and the director of the Berenson-Allen Center for Noninvasive Brain Stimulation at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He will present on “Modulating Brain Networks to Promote Recovery from Brain Injury.”

Closing the conference will be keynote speaker Travis Roy who at 20 years of age obtained a spinal cord injury while playing in his first collegiate hockey match. The injury resulted in paraplegia from the neck down. Since his 1995 injury, Roy has served as an author, speaker and advocate for individuals living with spinal cord injuries.

Registration will be available on-site and leading up to the conference; but until Sept.30, attendees may register for a discounted rate of $200 for students, $250 for a one-day registration and $425 for a full registration. Registration and additional conference information may be found at
